Natalie Huerta is the owner of West Loop Gents. Growing up in the beauty industry, she would watch her mother transform people’s lives through hair. While assisting her mother in the salon, Natalie realized how rewarding it is to make people look and feel good. At the age of 16, Natalie was accepted into a program where she could attend beauty school so that she could pursue her passion as a cosmetologist while still in high school. Since then, she has prioritized continuous education on new techniques, trends, and products. Her main focus is excellent customer service and a custom design that fits the client’s lifestyle. Besides work, she spends her time studying psychology, hanging out with her family, and taking nature walks with her small dog named Missy.
Jennifer Huerta is the founder of West Loop Gents. She found a passion for hair at only eight years old when a neighbor asked her to cut his hair (ask me for the end of the story). Working with her mom and doing any tasks needed, Jennifer fell in love with the profession and earned a license from the John Amico School of Hair Design along with her dad. Since graduating, she has over 7 years of experience, which include managing her small family salon, running beauty shows, and working at a top men’s salon in Chicago. As a stylist, Jennifer strives to understand her client's personality and lifestyle to create the best look for everyone. She specializes in classic styles, but also loves modern clipper work. One of her favorite things is keeping up with trends by attending classes and hands on workshops. Jennifer has also been known to give the best shampoo scalp massage in town! If you book an appointment with Jennifer, your visit will prove to be a stress-relieving experience with a fantastic result. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys cooking, traveling and sailing on Lake Michigan.
